Buddy ReadingBudd has!

Hi friends. I hope among all the other fun things you’re going to do, you’ll take time to read a few good books. I’d recommend reading one of these if you get a chance.

The Sorcerer’s Letterbox
by Simon Rose • For ages 8 to 11.
Jack wakes up from his dream and glances over at the small antique box in his bedroom. The hidden drawer, located in the base of the box, is mysteriously open. Inside, Jack discovers a letter from a boy calling himself Edward. After writing a reply to Edward, Jack finds himself traveling back and forth through time to 1483, where he attempts to save Edward and his brother from death. He soon finds out Edward is none other than King Edward V. Jack fights for his own life, too, as he tries to save London’s royal prince.

Adam’s Tropical Adventure
by Marie Décary • For ages 7 to 9.
When Adam gets the chance to go to Discovery Island with his grandma, he takes his camera, a notebook and pencil so he can practice being a journalist, and he’s prepared for adventure.
In the jungle, Adam discovers a very rare bird. It’s the last of its kind — almost. Now it’s up to Adam to help save the few remaining
roocoocoo birds from thieves.
Through his adventure, Adam finds that it takes courage and friendship to solve a small but troubling mystery.

Tabasco the Saucy Raccoon
by Lyn Hancock • For ages 8-12.
At the request of the Vancouver Children’s Zoo, author Lyn Hancock raises an orphaned baby raccoon. This book shares the adventures Lyn has with her raccoon, Tabasco, as she travels across the country. Everything is a discovery for Tabasco. And nothing is safe from the raccoon’s clever paws. Dogs run when Tabasco visits, but chickens flock from all around to play with Lyn’s talkative, furry friend.
As much as Lyn loves Tabasco, she realizes raccoons are wild creatures, not house pets. She searches for a new, wild home for her furry companion in this unforgettable story.

Alphabetter
by Dan Bar-el • For ages 4 to 8.
Did you ever try to use an egg as a football? Or dress live quail up in doll’s clothes when you didn’t have a doll? In this colorful picture book, 26 boys and girls find themselves in 26 different situations when the alphabet refuses to cooperate with them! In the end, the solution turns out to be good for everyone.
