This is a great recipe to try around the campfire with cast-iron pie irons. (A pie iron is a little skillet on a long handle that you set on or in the coals of a fire to cook.)
Loaf of sliced bread
A jar of pizza sauce
Pizza toppings of your choice
Butter one side of each bread slice. Put one slice, buttered side down, in the pie iron.
Add the pizza sauce, cheese and any other toppings you want. Top this with the other slice of bread, buttered side up, then close the pie iron and lock it.
Place the pie iron in the coals of the campfire for about 2 minutes then flip. Cook another 2 minutes then continue flipping and checking until your total cooking time comes to 10 minutes.
