Meet "People from our Pages" at the Missouri State Fair

Every month, Rural Missouri introduces its readers to interesting people from all across the Show-Me State. At this year’s Missouri State Fair in Sedalia, fairgoers will be given the opportunity to meet these story subjects face to face and visit for a while.
“People from our Pages” returns to the fair this year with 10 people and organizations featured in the magazine. They’ll be on hand from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Missouri’s Electric Cooperatives Building. Those scheduled to appear (and the month they were featured in Rural Missouri) include:

Aug. 12 — Small electric appliance collector Richard Larrison (Dec. ’08)

Aug. 13 — Missouri Honor Flights (Nov. ’09)
Aug. 14 — Gourd artist Suzy Meelhuysen (Dec. ’09)
Aug. 15 — Missouri Cowboy Mounted Shooters (July '10)
Aug. 16 — PHARM Dog program (Nov. '09)
Aug. 17 — Soap maker Judy Riggs (Sept. '09)
Aug. 18 — Pony Express National Museum (March '10)
Aug. 19 — Strongman Steve Schmidt (July ’09)

Steve will demonstrate his strength and talents at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Aug. 20 — Mozarkite Society of Lincoln County (Jan. ’09)

Aug. 21 — Charlie "The Singing Waitress" Jennings (Sept. '09)
